Customer Support Officers (Carecall Concierge Team)

Up to 2 x Full time permanent positions

In 2020, Stockport Homes achieved three star extraordinary Best Companies accreditation and were recognised as one of Britain’s best employers for the eleventh consecutive year running by the Sunday Times newspaper. We are the Number 1 Not-For-Profit Organisation to work for in the Sunday Times Top 100 list for 2020 (Number one in the Best Companies Top 25 Housing Organisations to Work for) and have also achieved Platinum Investors in People status for our approach to people management and development.

We are a values driven organisation committed to achieving our mission of one team, transforming lives, but were also entrepreneurial, maximising the value of our money and resources.

The Carecall Concierge Team provide 24/7 support to its wide ranging customer base and we are currently looking to recruit 2 Carecall and Concierge Officers to join us! Many of these roles have been created due to growth of the service and it is an exciting place to come and work – where no two days are the same! The team provide reassurance and support to customers both in person and over the phone – 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.

A day in the life of a typical CCO could involve attending to a person in their own home, who has had a fall, and using specialist lifting equipment to help them up. It could also involve monitoring the vast network of CCTV in Stockport and dealing with issues pro-actively as they arise. You could be working with Police, Ambulance Crews and Social Services as well as internal departments and your colleagues

The job is extremely varied and very rewarding – but the ideal candidate needs to be resilient and able to work under pressure, in a fast paced emergency led service. As the service supports over 6500 people in Stockport, whatever their emergency, it has to operate a full 24hr, 7 day a week, 365 days a year service. This means our family of CCOs work a 3-shift rolling pattern to provide the right levels of cover, whatever day of the year it is!

The shifts involved are a selection of earlies (6.45am-2.45pm), lates (2.30pm-10.30pm) and nights (10pm-7am). After induction, you will be issued with a 16-week rolling rota which sets out your working pattern. At Carecall Concierge we appreciate how important it is to our team members know their shifts as far ahead as possible and work / life balance is a key principle of the rotas we work to.

As a driving is essential to the role, the post requires you to hold a full UK Driving Licence. However, your own vehicle is NOT essential.

Closing Date: Monday 28th September 2020

Interview Date: Wednesday 7th October 2020

All posts offer attractive conditions of service and a range of employee benefits including a commitment to personal development, work life balance and a genuine commitment to embrace diversity for employees and customers.
