An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Adaptations & Older Persons Team for an experienced Assessment Officer to join us to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of Occupational Therapist adaptation referrals, customer home improvements/repairs requests and medical rehousing assessments for customers. This is a temporary Maternity Cover role to cover 18.5 hours per week.
Working flexibly as part of a team that acts as the main point of contact for customers throughout the process, you will take responsibility for ensuring that adaptations grant application forms are correctly completed, keep customers updated with progress and ensure customers receive the adaptations they require in a timely manner.
Able to absorb written information quickly and make rational, objective decisions, candidates must be capable of using IT to keep electronic case records up to date and of conducting interviews with customers in SHG offices and occasionally in their own homes.
You must be capable of liaising effectively with customers and stakeholders to ensure the timely progression of medical rehousing assessment forms, grant applications forms and successful completion of improvements to customers’ homes
