Development Graduate – 2 year contract

Named a Sunday Times Best Company to Work for in 2019 and for ten consecutive years, as well as being an Investors in People Champion, here at Stockport Homes we are extremely proud of our people.

We are a values driven organisation committed to achieving our mission of ‘One team, transforming lives’, but we’re also entrepreneurial, maximising the value of our money and resources.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to join us as a Development Graduate, assisting with the identification, procurement and delivery of the organisation’s development programme.

Liaising with consultants, contractors, solicitors, valuers, internal colleagues and Council officers, you will assist with the preparation and submission of funding bids and feasibility studies / financial appraisals whilst assisting with the identification and purchase of suitable land and property.

Ensuring that projects comply with internal and external regulations, procedures and standards, you will carry out market research and present the findings and promote team achievements and activity by blogging on the intranet and through liaison with the Marketing department for external website/social media approaches.

Candidates for this opportunity must demonstrate a degree level education and an understanding of (and a strong interest in) the property development process coupled with excellent literacy, numeracy and customer service skills. Able to communicate effectively in an easy to understand jargon-free way, you must be capable of using a wide range of computer software and of engaging customers at their home or over the telephone.

A high level of commercial awareness and negotiation skills are essential, as is a valid current driving licence and access to a car.
