Business Development Manager

Joining us as Business Development Manager, you will develop, motivate and empower a virtual team of specialists from across the Group’s businesses to deliver a creative and proactive service.
Building effective strategic relationships with commissioners, funders and partners which develop firm foundations for new business, you will proactively identify opportunities for business growth and diversification and turn them into new business. You will ensure the timely completion and delivery of high quality expressions of interest, supplier questionnaires, bid submissions and pitches for new business and provide after sales support/account management to commissioners during the mobilisation of new contracts.
Candidates for this role must have strong interpersonal skills and personal credibility, coupled with experience of successfully managing staff – ideally including matrix management of a virtual team. With experience of exploiting business opportunities by writing a significant number of winning bids in a public sector or third sector environment, you should be capable of managing conflicting priorities and have a commitment to delivering high quality services.
A strong commercial awareness, financial acumen, excellent project management and planning skills are all essential requirements for the role.
