Housing Pathway Apprentice – 18 month contract

We currently have an exciting apprenticeship opportunity available, working across three different areas of the business; Temporary Accommodation, Communications and Business Development and Customer Safety.
Working within our Temporary Accommodation scheme which provides accommodation for people experiencing homelessness, you will offer practical support and advice to promote resident independence, and support residents with life skills. As part of the Communications and Business Development teams, you will be involved with seeking out new business opportunities and tendering for bids, as well as the day to day running of the communications function for Stockport Homes Group.
Finally, you will also work with the Customer Safety team, the post holder will be immersed in all aspects of compliance and customer safety, including gas safety, Asbestos, Legionella and electrical wiring.
No specific experience is required, but we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and the aptitude and discipline to undertake the CIH qualification at the appropriate level according to qualifications and experience. A good working knowledge of IT and Microsoft Office applications is required, and you must have the ability to work co-operatively as part of a team in order to achieve measurable outcomes.
The ability to demonstrate empathy whilst maintaining healthy boundaries and a commitment to working with vulnerable people is also essential.
